Vinyl: Plays near perfectly, with only possible very minor marks. Cover: Only the slightest signs of normal wear.
Almost Mint Minus, but not quite. A very clean copy with only light signs of careful use.
Vinyl: May show marks and some wear but plays throughout with only slight crackles or pops, possibly with light noise at the beginning. Cover: Shows normal signs of wear.
Vinyl: The defects found on a VG+ copy are more pronounced. Surface noise, clicks or pops may be more noticeable, especially in quieter passages, intros and fades, but should not overpower the music. Cover: Normal used wear such as ring wear or split seams.
Vinyl: May have continuous crackles, pops, label wear or similar faults, but not so severe that the music is completely unlistenable to the casual listener.
Heavily marked or scratched, but expected to play through.
A heavily worn copy intended for die-hard collectors. The record may be heavily marked or scratched; the cover may be very worn or ripped.
Writing on a sleeve or label reduces the grade as appropriate. A 45 listed with a graded sleeve has a picture sleeve. PLN means a white, brown or other plain paper sleeve.
All 45s and singles are supplied in a white or brown generic paper sleeve unless a picture cover is stated. A manufacturer sleeve shown in a scan may be for presentation only.
